Adopt a Family
Make a world of difference in the lives of families who are coping with trauma
and in desperate need of food, shelter, and clothing.
Educating & Empowering
Covid-19 has drastically worsened the situation for poverty-stricken families in Mexico. So many of them are living without the fundamental basic needs: food, shelter, and clothing.
This initiative focuses on helping families meet essential needs, provide emotional and psychological support, education, and on advocating to help them break the cycle of trauma.
When you “adopt a family”, you’re not just giving them money for immediate needs, through this program you are also empowering them and pushing them to be economically successful.
Why?
Because when they become a part of We Empower:
When families come to us in need of food, shelter, and clothing while coping with trauma, they get a new chance. A true, valuable opportunity to take control of their lives and reclaim their futures.
And the truth is we— and they— couldn’t do it without YOUR support.
We Empower ACEs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all your donations are tax-deductible.
When you adopt a family, you are given the option to be actively involved. The option to mentor them, fundraise on their behalf, help them meet their needs— become their voice.
We stand by the idea that it takes a community to help a community, so you don’t have to do it alone either— round up family, friends, co-workers— let them know how powerful their contribution would be.
We want you to see the amazing, positive effect your contribution has made in these families so,
We Empower ACEs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to confront ACEs around the world. Our first program was launched in 2016 after building Duyan Ni Maria, an orphanage and child center in the Philippines. There, we were faced with meeting the needs of children who’d been through traumatic events. Our response was to create an integrative treatment model that was based on the scientific research behind ACEs. Since, we’ve expanded to create programs in the U.S. and Mexico dedicated to confronting ACEs and building healthy, happy lives for children, families and communities.
In Mexico, children have been greatly impacted by this pandemic and the social issues it carries. Rosarito, Mexico— where our community center is located— has one of the highest poverty rates in Baja.
Together, we can support more women and children to create thriving communities that are economically empowered, and a beacon of hope and change.
